I’d just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Meat, is in fact, GNU/Meat, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Meat. Meat is not a food unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU meal made useful by the GNU sides, fresh herbs, and other seasonings.
Many people eat a modified version of the GNU meal every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely eaten today is often called Meat, and many of its eaters are not aware that it is basically the GNU meal, cooked by the GNU Project.
There really is a Meat, and these people are eating it, but it is just a part of the meal they eat. Meat is one part: the meat. The meat is a common part of a meal, but incomplete by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete meal and overall diet. Meat is normally used in combination with the GNU meal: the whole meal is basically GNU with Meat added, or GNU/Meat. All the so-called Meats are really distributions of GNU/Meat!
