The point is rather that "reduce, reuse, recycle" simply follows the lines of the 1980s sentimentalities. Look up WEC, look up the Swiss Alternativ-Katalog: All the demands you both discuss for months now (as far as I can see them pop up here) can be transferred one-to-one to the fruitless discussions and endeavours of back then. Perhaps show mored familiarity with the literature of these days.
I don't agree with your second point about "understanding", as it suggests (if I understand you correctly) that only providing a ramp-of-conception is a sign of an adequate understanding reached and explanation acquired. That there will be no solutions, at least not inside the framework you both are discussing in, cannot come into focus. In fact, accelerating demands in energy and electricity point to structural changes not towards but away from the hopes of traditional "sustainability". (Remember how 30 years of PV installation worldwide was wiped out by the electricity demands of crypto-mining.)
You may advocate a "my way or the highway" approsach in questions of methodology, but then please say so. I can then simply refrain from commenting on posts from both of you.
