Here’s your regular reminder that the daily commute is bullshit and an unpaid waste of workers’ time. The need to commute causes traffic congestion, pollution, carbon emissions, and wear and tear on equipment, and is a root cause of the horrible housing affordability crises in metros across the country.

We proved during #covid shutdown years that remote work is viable. We got so much time back, the roads were empty, and we still got shit done. Anyone claiming that quality work is impossible without a daily commute is simply lying to you. They want your butts in office seats to feel powerful, and to prop up their real estate investments.

Never forget: commuting is an unpaid hardship that comes out of your lifespan. Don’t simply accept it as the cost of doing business.
