@zemichi Unfortunately, it is now impossible to destroy industrial society, as there's enough oil, scrap metal, tools and generators just lying around to keep going no matter the disruption.

Even if the power grids were to go down totally (the sun could have a nice electrical event any year where it induces huge amounts of electric charge in any long conductors, although many transformers now have breakers in them that trip in response to such electrical disturbance instead of frying), there's massive amounts of 100+ kW generators for cooler-shipping containers just lying around that could be repurposed to deliver plenty of 2 or 3 phase AC power just fine.

The damage of industrial society could be limited by ensuring that all software was free, alas the parasitic companies will never let that happen.
