myrmepropagandistWhen Republicans try to question the race of black candidates they are, in theory, speaking to black people trying to activate questions about authenticity and light skin privilege. But since they don't care about or even understand these concepts at all, it falls really flat. Instead it just comes off as general racist disgust with "race mixing" and "miscegenation" ... which is the emotional reason they think such attacks will work at all.
