That is super interesting! I hadn't heard of this before.
If I understand it correctly[0], my very clumsy summary is that Long Covid is caused by the body's overreaction to the infection, the body harming itself, and lowering that reaction with antihistamines seems to lower the risk of Long Covid. Good to know!
I've had Covid two times, and knock on wood I don't seem to have had any serious long-term effects. I'm careful not to catch it again, but if I do in spite of my precautions, I'll make sure to take any antihistamines I have around the house.
