E.g. 16+ years ago I worked for the US division of a major global manufacturer. We had a comprehensive DR plan which we tested regularly, assuming all of the company’s facilities were smoking craters. By the 4th semi-annual test, we had it working: critical servers, a fresh set of DCs, & dozens of Windows workstations ready within an 8-hour grind, including the capacity to deploy new workstations fast.
