David Todd McCarty“May you live in interesting times” is an ancient curse, allegedly originating with the Chinese in the 17th century. I have thought a lot about this in the past few years as it’s a compelling statement about the nature of human reality. We imagine we want to live in interesting times, until we see what that entails. As they say, be careful what you wish for.
