"By the Law of Jutland of 1241, you may fill your hat with whatever you can harvest."
One of my favourite annual traditions. The council has started putting signposts in bushes and trees around the city, invoking the ancient law and inviting us to harvest as we wander. The signs point out which plants, fruit and berries we can turn into food and drink.
"Everyone looks better with a pocket full of apples.”
"Turn us into juice!”
“Brew me!”
“Eat me!”
