@pwm no. osc is actually binary, barely. each atom is aligned to 32-byte boundaries and its basically two strings and then a payload. one string is the name of the endpoint, the other is the type spec.

it's actually very simple and used in a lot of interactive music kit. some other protocols like VMC (which powers vtubing) is built on it as well.
