Looking back at #Euro2024, what I noticed most is how defensively the big teams played.
I wonder why!
And I hope it's just a tournament one-off, and not a harbinger for football's "strategy culture" in general for the coming seasons.
(I don't mind defensively minded football as a tactic, used in specific phases of the game, or by a weaker side against a favorite - but please, I don't want every match to be the all-out type of defensive football like the French played these Euro's)
