Seeing the “live coverage” across ActivityPub, Diaspora, and Bluesky federated networks (thanks Friendica) of recent news it is clear that Twitter is not only unnecessary but practically *chan like in disinformation spread. Journalists and readers have no need to stay on there to be in the loop.
