BeAware :fediverse:@emaechler it's not that specific feature, it's the idea overall. They could have proposed this for AP overall. But they just added it to Mastodon cause that benefits them to be able to define how that tag is used. They are directly in control of the tag that's labeled "Fediverse" and directly define how it can be used instead of letting AP define those things. Read the thread. Not the single post.
