An idle thought.
An image description service.
* Send an image fingerprint of some kind to the service.
* The service looks up the image in a database.
* If a description is found, it is returned.
* If it is not, an automatic description is generated, and the image gets put into a queue.
* People with sight can review this queue and give feedback on the automated description, or suggest a new description instead.
* If a manual description is given and accepted, the automated description will be removed, the image will be removed from the queue, and the manual description will be returned instead.
* No logging for retrieving image descriptions. Must be anonymous. Don't shame people for looking at what they're looking at.
* Open source
* Maybe federated? Choose an instance that you prefer. Can share descriptions and queues between instances maybe?
