What precidely is causing this discussion?

If fediverse is going to be a place where people can come together, despite their ideological differences, then we cannot have rampant #isolationism. I'm seeing a dangerous trend in fediverse that is mostly coming from the mastodon crowd, that appears to be more and more trigger-friendly.
