According to https://alabamareflector.com/2024/07/02/autauga-prattville-library-board-approves-book-removal-policy-as-controversy-continues/ , books for minors in libraries cannot have "...graphic descriptions, illustrations or other representations of sexual conduct...sexuality, sexual orientation, sexual abuse or transgender identity. The book or material also cannot promote or glorify illicit drug or tobacco use, have racial or ethnic themes, sexual harassment or discrimination, homosexual themes, xenophobia or transphobia.

It also cannot have content that relates to gender identity, promiscuity, teen pregnancy, physical or sexual abuse, pedophilia, polygamy, or any other form of criminal behavior."

So, which books that you loved growing up with would be removed from Alabama's libraries?

    I'll go first:

"Free to Be You and Me" -- gender identity
    "The Hobbit" -- tobacco use
Just about everything by Judy Blume. (SO MUCH gender identity in every book. An awful lot of sexuality there, too.)
"Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" (Racial themes)
    "Ozma of Oz" (transgender identity.)

    Any others?
