I heard snippets of US presidential debate on the radio when I went to fetch lunch. Across the pond, Trump’s lies sound more batshit than last time.

An American colleague once explained to me that his supporters know he’s lying, but they don’t care. They repeat the lies like football chants because they care more about their tribe winning by drowning out opponents than being right.

If true, that’s not great, because even if Trump loses & goes away his successor will know that works. 😬
