Every time I see this news about work being put in to attach human skin to a robot, it reminds me how much of robotics (like AI) must be motivated by tech bros who can't get laid wanting to replace disobedient women with technology. Because why the hell else do you need human skin on a robot? What possible other use case could make it worth the investment of time and energy being put into it? For artificial limbs, perhaps it would be some aesthetic improvement, but at the cost of maintenance.
