@louis@emacs.ch As someone who currently works in advertising, you don't actually need any data to do effective advertising!
You can just buy commercials and advertising space at places that your target audience goes to! It's that simple!
And as someone who works in advertising I also know that unfortunately advertisers really want to have the effect of their advertising be measurable.
Guess what? You can just make it up.
You can literally just make up some unproven estimation formula and say "your billboard has been seen by 1374 people today", plot it into a graph and they will see the almighty GREEN LINE GO UP and they will be very happy advertisers.
Seriously this is how this entire industry works.
