@tmcfarlane @chris There are very real reasons why Wayland is necessary: security being one of them. Every X11 app is a potential keylogger by design. A system that has its origins in the days of dumb terminals has a fundamentally broken security model today. So this isn’t about Wayland being unnecessary, etc. Wayland is the way forward. This is about accessibility not being considered a show stopper but a “nice to have… if there’s time.” In other words, an ableist culture.
