@pixelcats No sand or cats here. but i'm in the CBD so there is some dust from the air pollution. Mostly it's the soil from when I'm doing gardening stuff. I plan to keep doing gardening stuff and I'll never do it without getting soil everywhere. 😅
Also when it rains, sometimes the overflow from the container plants carries some soil away with it too, and there are muddy trails after it dries.
If I got rid of all the plants, probably the tiles would be cleaner. But if I got rid of the plants, there'd be little point in having a balcony.
Planning to get a lot more planters over the next few years, including some large ones that I can set up as wicking beds (to be self-watering). And maybe install a drip irrigation system so that the plants can survive when I inevitably get distracted by something else.
(My dad has an excellent drip irrigation system set up for his large balcony garden. He & my stepmum go away for months at a time, and their plants are still happy when they get home.)
