    IGPN et IGGN sont les deux organismes chargés de contrôler ce que font la police (IGPN) et la gendarmerie (IGGN).

    L'IGPN est une organisme interne de la police, qui obéit aux chefs de la police, et a très souvent tendance à protéger les policiers, et à couvrir les erreurs des policiers.

    Le défenseur des droits est une structure totalement différente, qui protège les droits des personnes, et souvent signale les problèmes avec la police.
