There's been this push in urban society for decades to seal yourself from the chaos in a little audio bubble, but it really just makes you a target without any situational awareness 😮💨 It's why I like motorcycling or driving with my windows down, because you can hear the street noises, revs, creaks, squeals of traffic and react better.
Automobile culture is dangerous because they taught us to pretend like we're sitting on the couch in our own personal living room, instead of veering off of a rollercoaster cliff second by second.
