There's this (often useful and accurate) bit of demo security advice about being able to spot police agitators based on their boots.

Thing is. Tactical/combat boots marketed at police/military are actually amazingly durable all-purpose work/shop/hiking/shit-kicking boots, with options like waterproofing, non-metallic sole and toe protection, and acid/slip resistant soles.

Even the gross marketing hasn't been able to wean me off them.

Magnum does vegan ones currently.

5.11 seems to have stopped their synthetic leather line.

For the love of fuck, don't buy "combat" boots from vegan fashion shoe retailers, trust me.
