Oftentimes, the usefool doesn’t think the longer-term implications apply to them as they feel sheltered by their perceived privilege. However, not being among the predator class that own and run corporations, they mistake the scraps occasionally thrown to them as a sign that they’ll be protected from ever becoming prey themselves.
