2nd night in a row where the aurora borealis isn't visible here, but people nearby are posting photos of it. I'm starting to suspect they're on the outskirts of town in an area where they can face away from town to see the northern sky. Whereas I see the faint orangish glow of light pollution.

I am going to go back out in a little while and give it another brief try.
