So, yeah… I know this song is about a mother who has passed, and while mine is still kicking out of spite and hatred (I expect, I don’t actually know) and I don’t have any kind of relationship with her, it speaks to me in terms of how I felt realising I didn’t miss her, but I missed the idea of her.
Sometimes you have to grieve and move on, because even when the person is still here, they’re gone.
