I can understand why they didn't want NAS to turn into yet another "the jews" instance .. and honestly I don't think most Jews are really aware of what Israel's government does or how it benefits them (but I have know several who opposed what Israel was doing in Gaza/West Bank; one Aussie/Israeli friend of mine burned his citizenship papers at a protest in Melbourne in front of Flinder's St Station).

It's a fine line these days. I'm considering de-federating the poasties. I've never really blocked anyone until the past two months since 2018! .. and some of the poasties have some interesting takes ... but I'm just getting sick of some of their fucking bullshit. Nicecrew is slightly less terrible, but some of them still make me want to pull the domain block trigger
