The podfather thing is because it was the first podcast (he worked with some of the old RSS people who first came up with the idea of adding an audio attachment URL, before the eyePod came out)

I still listen to it and like the show, but I never really listen to a whole episode (~45 min or so). They always start off slow, which kinda suck. I'm not sure what people are complaining about lately. I still hear stuff that makes me think or guesses no other alt-media people are making :blobcatshrug:
