@NeonPurpleStar i havent tested it too recently but linux mobile distributions have been able to phone calls on a wide variety of devices since before the pinephone. my main point here is that android being Private is almost always a misnomer unless you drop google services in which case you should use a linux phone because neither of them can do useful things anymore like wireless payments or banking or playing pokemon go
