Despite the above-normal precipitation this month, longer-term deficits persisted across the Prairies and parts of Northern Canada. Multi-year precipitation deficits remained the concern as very low snowpack was reported throughout much of Western Canada. Both Extreme and Exceptional Drought persisted across parts of Alberta and B.C.

At the end of the month 75% of the country's agricultural landscape was abnormally dry or in drought.
