@rosey If someone doesn't use their indicators and cuts you off, you are not at fault if you end up rear ending them (but it's still not worth the time and expense if you can avoid it).

I've had this happen numerous times, but I've always reacted in time and slammed the brakes to 80% or so (haven't had to use maximum braking yet).
