When Rahm ran for Chicago mayor he flew into town unannounced and met with the other half dozen candidates. All the other candidates except for Jesse Jackson Jr. suddenly dropped out of the race. The morning after Rahm flew back to D.C. the newspaper headlines announced that Jackson was screwing a White Italian aide. Jackson dropped out of the race.
