Right: it's not like there'll be a traitor in the Oval Office ordering our police and soldiers to stand down and let the coup continue.

I am amazed that the 1/6 coup did not result in massive bloodshed, but that may be due to the general lack of resistance. The next coup attempt -- and there *will* be one -- might be bloodier.
