@sss I have a longer and more serious answer to this (I think I blogged about it) but these answers do fall into this category for me and it's a core reason why Trump even came to be: faith in a system that optimizes towards fascism won't have the means of protecting us from it.

The sitting president contributed to a bill that accelerated mass incarceration and the vice president has a reputation for throwing people into jail from the state with the largest women's prison. They have more experience bringing to life what Trump needs teams for. And they've done so, with little to no accountability from folks who've mentioned them to be our harm reduction options.

I have to ask, who is the harm being reduced for? Because it's not for BIPOC, women, the environment or any of the colonial regions the United States controls. It's mainly business and cishet white men.
