Bruce Liles wrote this song in response to Scott Walker, Gouverneur of Wisconsin (2010 - 2018), who in 2011 introduced the "Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill" that elliminated collective bargaining for most Wisconsin public employees. The Bill drew wide protests and a protesters' occupation of the Wisconsin State Capitol but became law in March 2011.<br>
