When I was a kid living in my family's old home I recall picking up a toy gun (I knew it was a toy it's too small and it looked different from a real gun) that was solid metal and revolver shaped.

While not the actual gun I played with you can see what one of these toy guns looked like pictured below.

These things were apparently made of cast iron which was probably why I thought it was extremely heavy. Looking these guns up the latest date for some of these was in the 1930-40s and some go back as far as pre-1900s.

I wonder how old the one I had was. :backfromgab:
