bamficIt does not speak well for the US government (but maybe isn't so surprising) that the SCOTUS's main concern in the Presidents immunity case is protecting Presidents and other government officials from being tried and jailed for war crimes. Even if protecting them from that also means opening the door for they themselves to be assassinated without any legal repercussions. We've gone through the looking glass into a nonsensical world.
