There are so many cases the Supreme court could take up... where justice has been clearly perverted, and they didn't ... where the harm was intense and lasting. Where it *will* happen again. But the court was too august and uninvolved in the day to day political grind to care.

But put some right wingers in prison for committing crimes, with ample evidence and video and they will search and hunt for an excuse to help those people out.

And to gut even the thinnest protections to democracy.
