JEGThe one thing all great scientific discoveries involved is hard thinking, and that requires time. Seems obvious, yet as I read about how to make scientific #research better, more rigorous and reliable, I don't see enough discussion about this: more time to think - quite to the contrary. Scientists spend an ever increasing amount of time doing experiments, on admin tasks, writing grants, progress reports etc... to the expense of time to think. #Science #openscience #theory #reproducibility
