- Embed this noticeThis is in the Catskills. White Men designed, laid the foundations and build this structure. They might have used ferals to haul stone, but probably not. The bridge is 98 feet long and was built sometime around 1880 (some sources say 1873) by Swiss immigrants Henry and Philip Hembt. It features three stone arches that carry this wide bridge over the creek below. Look at that roadway over the bridge; it was COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY to make it Beautiful, and they probably could have saved money by making an ugly piece of crap. But then again, that's a trait of all White Men who create things.
