    @neil My kids (three) have all gotten Internet connected tablets at the age of one. Phones at five. Computers at six.

    We do not go through their devices or communications. We talk.

    The eldest (then 11) installed TikTok, went down a bad rabbit hole, and through talking it through with us uninstalled it again on their own initiative and is now a vocal proponent against TikTok and its algorithms.

    The best form of parenting is trust.
