@matrix @LukeAlmighty Classic game theory: All groups being colorblind might produce the best results for all, but if ONLY your group is colorblind, while all others zealously pursue their own racial interests, your group ends up with the worst possible outcome. Your group pursuing its own racial interests will always be the "safe" option - and these days, we don't even have to guess, we KNOW that only White people are willing to even attempt colorblindness, and I guess at least White rightwingers are increasingly realizing that.
