ashfurrowPeople are already/again measuring the success of Mastodon using this framing of needing to “replace Twitter”, and I totally reject it. The Fediverse has been here for years, it’s still here, it will continue to be here one day after Mastodon goes away. It’s thrumming along, and that’s a kind of success that Twitter could never have achieved.
