i don't think there's a single videogame that brought me more joy than shadow the hedgehog. i still remember when i first saw a big poster for it in blockbuster. i stared at it in utter disbelief for the better part of a minute. a sonic the hedgehog character with GUNS? named SHADOW? that's pure comedy. the blockbuster employee who made that fake poster was a genius. i went up to the counter to ask who made it, because i wanted to congratulate that genius

it took the poor man ten full minutes to convince me that it was a real game. he had to pop in the disc to a gamecube and start up a game to convince me he wasn't going really really far with the bit.

when i saw shadow pump his pump-action SMG i just lost it. i spent like 5 full minutes laughing at how stupid it was. i wound up doubling over and couldn't even keep myself upright using the counter. i laughed so hard i was actually crying and lightheaded.

thank you, sega, for making my favorite shit game i will never play
