Thinking a bit about teen girlhood lately, as some children in my orbit reach that stage, and their parents worry about what they might experience.
So, a note.
I've been a teen girl and a young woman. I experienced endless sexist jokes and comments, lots and lots of leering, harassment, a bit of groping, a couple of instances of being followed, and an attempted assault. It starts as soon as you're identifiably woman-bound, so around 11-13. To be clear, that is a *normal* amount of that shit for a white lady, and women of colour often experience more.
Never once was I mistreated by a trans person, or a cis man dressing as a woman.
Misogynists have never needed to pretend to be anything other than upstanding men.
