I would argue that fascists openly congregating and having demonstrations is obscene. But society as a whole accepts it as long as they toe the line.
To be clear, I don't think there should be laws to ban rightoids from the public space because those laws swing both ways and they will just organize out of view. But their ideas are more morally repugnant to me than even actual sexual obscenity to a certain degree.
We're talking about the issue of kink at pride, not of kink in public. The public can be pudic when it doesn't have fasists
The most coherent argument I have against kink at pride is that it may be triggering for some people. To that I have to say the public space is full of content you don't control, for instance fascists. A pride parade is an event you can plan for.
You have to weigh the pros and cons before saying that it's worth taking a small hit in inclusivity: people who want to attend a squeaky clean pride but cannot if there's kink.
I'm not gonna erase those people, they may be there. But I've never heard one, and I've read dozens of people with no problem with kink be concerned on their hypothetical sake.
