If you go down the "but all evidence of this 'true gospel' was destroyed" route then you have a capricious and dishonest deity.
Yes I'm aware of the corrupt versions of the Bible (it's why I only use the KJV), but claiming there is an invisible Quranic original that completely vanished is even more ridiculous considering the vast differences that exist in Alexandrian manuscripts and the like.
