AnarchoNinaWritesJorts isn't going to federate with Meta servers, but masotodon.social for example, most definitely does, and wants to do so. Well when users from social interact with my posts, and I interact with them, that creates a vector of access to my content, through .social, to all the servers social federates with - which includes Meta servers. You may think that's not a big deal, and right now, it probably isn't. But I dunno if you've noticed; the world is adapting to serve fascism, very quickly.
