Fraser CainAfter delivering the first images of the event horizon surrounding the Milky Way's supermassive black hole (Sgr A*), the Event Horizon Telescope has taken an even deeper look. This time, the worldwide network of radio telescopes has revealed the polarized light in the region, defining the direction of the magnetic fields around the black hole. They show how the magnetic fields are swirling in the same direction and hint at hidden jets.
